Syd in the City

Once again, I had the great pleasure of photographing Sydney, my dear friend Lori's daughter, around the city. I've watched Syd grow into a fine young woman. Boy, does that make me sound old! ha ha
Anyhoo, she's a such a smart kid full of many talents, not to mention great parents!

     Up-cycled dog ties they slip on your dog's collar- too fun!

I came across those sweet little doggie ties (2nd photo) at Fido Fest on Saturday. They are made from old ties. All the sales go to a charity - Ruthie's Kennel Club Charity.

Hoan or Bust

The first photo was taken on the Hoan bridge after my dear friends, Laura and Roxane and I biked to the top. We did the UPAC -Miller Lite Ride. One of the highlights that day was riding the Hoan Bridge- in mostly silence. It's a breath taking way to view the city and great lake.

The end shot is how I felt after this weekend. BOOM- It was one of my top weekends so far this year.

Location scouting 101

                                        

As some of you may know, half of my Stephanie Bartz Photography business is location scouting. That basically means I search for the right look or location that a director/photographer needs.
I LOVE scouting because 1. I meet all sorts of folks 2. I get a glimpse inside their world - home/business. 3. I get paid to drive around this beautiful state!
It has it's share of stress and long hours, sometimes up to 16 hour days! Plus I scout in rain, bitter cold, snow, hot humid days...come to think of it I'm like the postal service.
Sometimes if it makes sense I scout on my bike (another joy of mine).  Sometimes if I time it just right, good eats too. I have scouted from golf carts, speed boats, ATVs, and monster like trucks! Good times!
