Creative business portrait of Sue Keely

Sue Keely was looking to update her website and needed a current photo. She found me on Google. Yay for Google! Her office is out of her home, where she was photographed, but travels all over the world for her job! I decided to show off her drawings in her office and then we went outside as well for a simple head shot.
In case you were wondering what the heck is a graphic recorder, read on.
What IS graphic recording?
It goes by a variety of names: “Mind mapping”, “visual mapping” or “graphic murals” are some. As a graphic recorder, I listen to the flow of the presentation(s) or conversation and take notes in pictures and words, on wall-sized paper, real-time. I capture the nuggets of information that I think will be important for your audience to remember after the meeting has ended. The graphic charts also serve to capture the energy in the room!

.......Stop Collaborate and listen.......

Coaster Art

WIP group art piece
Last week, I collaborated on two separate occasions with friends, making art just for the fun of it. The top 3 images were done by good friends Laura, Roxane and of course myself. Once we worked our coaster to a point we'd give it to another to play with.

The larger piece below was done by Nancy, K.Lee, Nan, Sarah and myself. We call ourselves WIP. Works in Progress. This art group gets together once a month and does little art projects, talks art, and is an all around supportive art group. It's a great group of talented artists and wonderful women, whom I've gotten to know over the last 8-9 years(?). Our group members have changed over the years which has been fun too. The assignment for next month is to take the piece we were given and make a new art piece out of it. That should be fun to see.

Dog like Cats, Callie & Junior

I photographed Joe's cats for the fun of it. Callie ( multicolored kitty) and Junior (black kitty) are dog like in so many ways. Mostly, they seek lots of lap time & affection. Junior is a real talker. Callie is so sweet and feels weightless when she lays on you.

In honor of bacon!

A few years ago, the gutter grrls created this delightful piece of bacon for a charity show,
" Sizzlin' with the Stars" for MCFI.

This is part of a on going series. I'm excited to be working with my friends on this project. Eventually, the work will be hanging in a show. Laura, the wonderfully expressive bacon model and I, shot this series at Cafe at the Plaza.
