I photographed the energetic Amy Rowell, executive director at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, last week during one of our "spring like"days. I took advantage of the warmer day and one dry spot in the backyard. The photo of Amy and Boone was taken for the Milwaukee ARC website. Amy had told me that Maisey Jane does not like cameras. I was thrilled when Maisey joined us for the photo session! And ain't she a beauty!
There is a fun event coming up April 8th, that MilwaukeeARC is putting on. Check it out here.
Music, good eats, raffles, and good times, all to help out animals at the rescue. What more could you want?

This was my booth from the Great Lakes Pet Expo 2011. The stylish greeting card racks and doghouse was built by my sweetie, Joe. The new logo was done by my friend Elaine Buckley, a wonderful and talented artist. Thanks to you both for making my booth look polished! Another thanks to all that stopped by that day. The winner of the free photo booth style shoot was Brandi, a border terrier.

I was asked back again this year to Brookfield Academy to work with students on a self portrait project. They started with a transparency of themselves and then layered images underneath. I LOVE the hands on cut & paste style of art. The other thing I love about this project is even if you're not "creative" ( everyone is!) you can do this! So grab some magazines, glue, your self portrait and go play!
