I met Stinky years ago for a Fetch Magazine article about his book "Stinky the Bulldog" written by Jackie Valent (his wonderful owner) . Fast forward 5 years later and I'm commissioned to do another shoot with Stinky. Stinky is a joyful, sweet pup!

Birthday weekend

Rented a cabin, in Lodi Wi. on Lake Wisconsin, for my birthday ( 2 weekends ago, but still celebrating!). It was the perfect lil cabin right on the lake. Some days we kayaked morning & night. So calming & beautiful (miss it!). Baraboo and Devil's Lake State Park were nearby. Again perfect. We had the chance to stop in and walk around the grounds of Dr. Forevetron http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2239 . Some wacky and wonderful large upcycled sculptures. Had a great family & friends birthday gathering on Saturday, despite the down pour! Thanks to all for making it memorable!

In my shoes

This is part of the AWE project that was just completed by students at Professional Learning Institute. I'm incredibly proud of the students who put their heart and soul into this project. It was a combo of self portrait & writing. This was my first time team teaching with the talented, lovely artist-writer, Marya Bradley. The students came up with the book title as well. The second part of the project was the same image printed onto a transparency paper and hung up (in front of windows) in the hallway of the school. Wanna see what's inside? Just say the word and I'll meet ya for coffee. BIG BIG BIG THANKS to ALL that supported this project by paying for a book. I'm surprising the students with their book today!
