Family photo day

Meet Blake(baby) Ryan (4 yr. old) Kristi & Dan(the easy going parents). Ryan was quite the inquisitive boy. Asking repeatedly (WHY x 20) is the light going on and off? Plus other endless questions. I found out during the shoot that Ryan is dressing up as Curious George for Halloween. Hmm. At one point, Ryan decided it was really funny to play hide and seek from the photographer. :) Towards the end of the shoot the family could no longer stay awake. They were just too tuckered out from all the fun that mornning! The end.

Vrrrrrrooooooooooooooomm Go Bill Go!

I had been wanting to do another motorcycle shoot while riding on a back of a bike since last summer. Last summer, I had photographed Fritz (a cute white miniature schnauzer ) on the back of a Harley. This past Saturday, yep in the cold weather, my dear friends Kris, Randy, Joe, Kris's parents' Kathy and Bill did just that. It was a fun but chilly ride. BIG thanks to Bill & Randy for the safe but enjoyable ride! Thanks to Joe for warming up my frozen hands after the shoot. Last but not least, thanks to Kris and Kathy for coming along for the ride! ha ha get it?

Biking + Friend + Photography = Good times

Just for fun, my friend Troy and I went out to the biking trails in Tosa. He wanted to hone his mad biking skills, and I wanted to shoot just for the FUN of it. FYI-I'm a BIG fan of action shots! When he's not biking, Troy's got a camera wrapped in his hands. Check out his wonderful world of images at http://www.troyfreund.com/.

More CHS portraits

I was hired (once again) by Community High School to work with their students on a photo/essay project. I always look forward to working with their students. In fact, I'd say I get pretty excited to be part of any project at CHS. http://www2.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/community/home.html . I can't say enough good things about the school. Here are a few from that day.

Run Bike Run

This past weekend I ran on purpose. My dear friend Lori asked if I'd join her in a duathlon for her birthday. Well, I just couldn't say no it was her BIRTHDAY! As many of you know I heart birthdays! I started training for this with the help of my good friend Laura. Laura was an amazing coach! Lori and I did the Duathlon of Dreams a charity run, bike, run for Works of Mercy. An organization that helps people with special needs. We started off running up hills and down a few for 2 miles. Then hopped on our bikes for a major climb ( right away-ugh! ) then it was just rolling hills(my favorite kind) for 11 miles. Then back to the hilly run for the last 2 miles. I did pretty well I must say for my first race. Even got a medal. Oh right everyone got a medal! Thanks to my parents for cheering us and others on! BIG Thanks to all of my friends for their loving & kind words of encouragement!
