Amelia, Ben, and Molly = sweet & silly

I had photographed Amelia(4) 2 years ago at one of my photo booth style shoots. She was and is a a little pumpkin. Ben(2), the inquisitive one, was on his way at the time. Then came along sweet lil Molly(baby). They just adore their little sister. We had a blast singing and being silly, and by the end we were all tuckered out. That's the way a good shoot should go. :)

Bobby & Gus, staff of The Pet Outpost

I met these two fine pugs, Bobby & Gus while checking out the new pet supply shop, The Pet Outpost, Shorewood.

The business specializes in biologically appropriate food for your Dog or Cat.

Sherri, their mom and owner, is friendly, upbeat, and fun to talk to. Plus, she works with some local dog and cat food brands as well, and carries eco- friendly toys.

These photos were shot at their home on their one day off.

Making a difference

This is my wonderful friend Sydney. She's a member of the youth leadership council for the Girls Scouts of SE Wisconsin. Sydney, collected 764 books, which will be donated to the Safe Babies Healthy Families center. 764 books!!!!! WOW! Way to go Syd!

I asked Syd, how that makes her feel. She replied " It feels amazing, because before they did not have that many books/things to do, but now after this book drive they will have hundreds to choose from. And every so often they will switch the books out and put new books in the shelves."

• Improved their decision-making and leadership skills
• Served as role models for all Girl Scouts
The Youth Leadership Council is for girls in grades 6-12.

John Michael Kohler Arts Center

I was at John Michael Kohler Arts Center last week with friends, and this is all I saw. Kidding. This was the only thing I was able to photograph, since they frown on snapping shots in the gallery and chewing gum. Stunning, awe-inspiring art to see and not be touched!

If you have never been to the center, I highly recommend making the trip. It is ALWAYS worth the trip. Plus there is this cute, little coffee shop/cafe with good eats at Weather Center Cafe. YUM!

Love, Like, Donate and pass it on!

Steph Davies, some of her artwork for sale
I want to give a shout out (do the kids still say that?) to a talented artist, great gal, and new art shop owner, Steph Davies. She is opening up shop in Shorewood, March 15th, The Waxwing.
I'm super jazzed about this art gallery & boutique.

The Waxwing is a store that will serve local artists:giving them a place to sell work & giving the community a place to buy cool art! My art goodies will be in this shop.

Learn more here- http://www.thewaxwing.com/index

And if you're feeling the need to support a wonderful artist, please donate to her shop. When you donate you also get original art of Steph's!
A win Win!

Oh Baby Ella!

This little sweet pea, Ella, is just 6 weeks old. I had photographed her mom and dad, years back for their wedding announcement. This shoot was for the baby announcement. It's always great to re-connect with former clients. I'm looking forward to the next shoot with Ella, 6-8 months form now.
