True-to-life moments are revealed every time Stephanie gets behind her camera. As the owner of Stephanie Bartz Photography, she’s equal parts detective, dot-connector, and storyteller.
One woman. One Camera. Endless Possibilities.
Part one of the lake shoot with Lizzy. As you can see Lizzy wants to chase after her favorite toy but isn't too keen on jumping in. Camera shy? Too much pressure? Perhaps but after a good long pep talk with her owner Josh, she couldn't help but dive in! Such a goooooooooood girrrrrrrrl (said in a baby voice)!
This is from one of my art groups- WIP. Nan was the leader for the meeting and had asked what evokes summer for you? She gave out prizes for smallest, largest, most original, evokes summer best, evokes summer least but is cool and virtual summer. Each photo viewer had well a slice of summer in them. Judged by two ladies who happen to have been at the Public market that evening. We each won a prize! I heart sur(prizes)!
I met Dana at Alterra in the fifth ward last Friday. Right off the bat I knew we were going to have fun on our shoot. Dana was all smiles and good positive energy. She had a sweetness about her, but from conversation that we had, I got the sense that she's a force to be reckoned with. That's a great combo in my book. OK here's the plug....there's still time to do high school senior portraits...pass it on!
The gutter grrls painted LIVE at the Art Bar on August 2nd, 2009. Paintings are up for one whole week. gutter grrl thug and trash started us off . gutter x and I (gutter sass) also helped paint throughout the night. gg fans colored our paint by number pages and won fab prizes! neat! We also let gg fans select the color on the canvas(hence the craziness!). But first they had to dress up in a silly costume and be photographed (of course). All part of the gutter grrl fun! gg shirts are for sale! You can take one off our hands for $15. www.guttergrrls.com
Sweet little Annie. This was our third official shoot together. Each time it gets more interesting to see what expressions she'll offer up. Here are just a few of my favorites. Yes, those are real tears at the end. What a meanie I am.
Photography has always been about connection. The kinetic energy between the people and the camera that captures authentic moments and reveals stories.
I love creating and capturing real moments with my subjects. Over the years I have honed an ability to set up situations that allow for candid moments. I offer the sensibilities of a lifestyle portrait with the magic of truth.
